Energy firm to pay $1M over issues at Pa. gas well

PITTSBURGH (AP) – A landslide, wastewater spill and other issues at a southwestern Pennsylvania natural gas drilling site are resulting in a $1 million fine.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Monday ( ) that Vantage Energy of Englewood, Colorado, has to pay the money immediately and clean up the site by the end of 2015.

The newspaper says the company signed an agreement last week with the state Department of Environmental Protection
