Natural-Gas Electric Plant to be Built in Ohio

oil-rigConstruction of a natural-gas powered electric plant is set to begin soon in Lordstown, Ohio. The plant is expected to power 750,000 to 800,000 homes in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Construction could begin as soon as Thursday, according to Clean Energy Construction.

The Massachusetts-based company said Lordstown was an ideal location because it is nearly halfway between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

The project is estimated to employ hundreds of construction workers; though, less than 20 workers will be needed to operate the plant once up and running.
