College Launches Program to Prep for Shell Cracker

Community College of Beaver County is launching an associate degree program in process technology the school said will prepare workers for jobs at the ethane cracker Shell Chemical has proposed building in the county.

CCBC said it worked with more than 30 industry partners to develop the curriculum, which is focused on science, technology, engineering and math.

Aside from meeting workforce demands for Shell should the company chose to move forward with the cracker project, CCBC said it will meet the industrial needs of many regional employers.
